Denver would pull themselves back into the game with a 30 point 4th quarter but the Sixers were able to hold them off until the buzzer and savor the victory at home.
Denver shot a measly 39% for the game but the 76ers 20 turnovers did not help. Both teams ran the floor, but Philly came out ahead with 26 fast break points.
Along with his 23 points, Thompson added 3 assists and 2 blocks. Carter-Williams looked a little rusty with his shot (4-12 FG) after sitting out the 2nd half of the game against the Cavs. The reigning Rookie of the Year still managed 15 points, 12 dimes, and 8 rebounds. Robert Covington contributed 17 points as Noel added 10 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks.
Danilo Gallinari led Denver with 22 points off the bench. Wilson Chandler scored 19 and Ty Lawson recorded 14 assists.
The Sixers will return to play on Friday in Boston (18-30)
