It was nerve-racking as the Sixers went into halftime tied at 61, but they came through for us in the end, as they lost to the Knicks by a score of 123-110. The loss keeps Philly in the hunt for the most ping pong balls for the draft lottery, and brings us even closer to the Bucks. Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple double, as he went for 23 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists on 8-12 shooting.
Thaddeus Young and James Anderson also showed signs of life for the Sixers tonight, going for 18 and 17 points respectively. Henry Sims also reached double digit scoring for the 76ers, finishing with 10 points and 3 rebounds. The Sixers played pretty well on offense, but struggled to find any stops against the Knicks attack. Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith and Amar'e Stoudamire each scored at least 22 points and Tim Hardaway Jr led them in scoring with 28 points. The Sixers managed to out rebound the Knicks, but let up way too many easy baskets to keep it close in the second half.
Hinkie and the Sixers are doing a great job of staying committed to their tanking. Obviously they will need a huge upgrade on defense next season, but Wiggins and Noel are both outstanding individual defenders and will instantly improve the horrid Sixers defense.

Hinkie and the Sixers are doing a great job of staying committed to their tanking. Obviously they will need a huge upgrade on defense next season, but Wiggins and Noel are both outstanding individual defenders and will instantly improve the horrid Sixers defense.
