The Sixers did not look any better coming out of the break, continuing to fail to get back on defense after missed shots and turnovers. The Warriors continued to take advantage of Philadelphia's mistakes and cash in on points in transition. Brett Brown looked visibly upset with his team's disappointing play on both sides of the ball as the game slipped completely out of reach in the 3rd. Coach Brown pulled his last starter with 2:47 remaining in the quarter. Golden State scored 98 points by the end of the 3rd quarter, led by an impressive second half by Steph Curry, who recorded a triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in 29 minutes played. The final quarter was played by mostly reserves as the game was out of hand. If its any consolation, the Sixers outplayed Golden State's bench in the 4th. Tony Wroten continues to be the Sixers only reliable source of scoring off the bench as he tallied 14 points. The Sixers fell 110-90.
Evan Turner finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals in the loss. MCW, Hawes and Thad Young could not find their shot at all, going a combined 8 for 33 from the field. Iguodala finished with 32 points for Golden State and Lee added 18 points and 7 rebounds. MCW, the reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, looked much more like a rookie committing 6 of Philadelphia's 24 turnovers. Carter-Williams finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, but a lot of those numbers came in garbage time. It is a tough loss for a team that stunned fans, winning their first 3 games but this was how they were expected to play before the season began. It would be best for Coach Brown and his team to just forget this game, put it behind them and focus on their matchup against Washington at home on Wednesday.
