Temple visited Connecticut tonight, as they faced the Huskies for the first time since 1965. The Huskies would take control early, dominating the Owls throughout to win 90-66, extending Temple's losing streak to seven, the longest for the program in more than a decade.

The Huskies jumped to a quick 18-11 lead behind stellar play from Shabazz Napier and continued to build on their lead, going up 32-16 with less than nine minutes remaining, as Napier scored 15 of Connecticut's first 32.

Temple would go on a 12-5 run to narrow the Huskies' lead to single digits at 37-28 with just more than three minutes remaining, but Connecticut would close the half strong to take a 48-34 lead to the break.

Napier would lead the Huskies in the half, scoring 15 points, while DeAndre Daniels added 10 points, as Connecticut shot 59.4 percent in the first half.

Temple would struggle shooting early, but pick it up a bit toward the end of the half, as they shot 44.4 percent in the half. Will Cummings led the Owls in the half with 12 points, as the guard made his return to the lineup after sitting out the last two games with a concussion.

Connecticut would continue to control the game in the second half, as Daniels and Napier dominated the Owls. Napier would finish with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, while Daniels would record a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds.

Will Cummings would score 20 points for the Owls in his return from a concussion, while Anthony Lee scored 14 and Quenton DeCosey and Dalton Pepper added 12 apiece. Temple shot just 38.3 percent in the loss, while also being dominated on the glass, as the Huskies out-rebounded the Owls 45-25.

With the loss, the Owls fall to 5-12 on the season. Temple will return to action on Sunday, as they welcome Cincinnati to the Liacouras Center.
