The senior point guard had missed time recently due to a leg injury, as the Owls found themselves in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
Since Cummings' return to the lineup last week, however, Temple looks much more like the squad that strung together six straight wins, including victories over #10 Kansas and defending national champion UConn.
Cummings, a Jacksonville, FL native, would put up 14 points during Temple's trip to his home state on Wednesday, as the Owls dominated UCF, 86-62.
UCF would take a 3-2 lead on a three pointer by Daiquan Williams, but it would be all Temple from there, as Jesse Morgan responded with a three of his own to give the Owls the lead, one they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game.
Temple would head to the half with a 37-18 lead over the Knights, as Morgan tallied 11 first half points and Cummings added 10 of his own.
The Owls would continue their dominance in the second half, stretching their lead to as much as 36 on their way to an 86-62 win.
Morgan would lead the Owls with 15 points in the win, while Cummings and Devin Coleman would pitch in 14 apiece and Quenton DeCosey added 13.
