From there it was all downhill for the Union. The Revs regained the lead on an Amobi Okugo own goal and things just got worse for the Union. The defense crumbled and sloppy play ended with the Revs scoring three more times in eight minutes to increase their lead to 5 to 1.
The Union tossed away a great opportunity to move up in the Eastern Conference standings. This loss stings and could definitely come back to bite the Union as the playoffs approach. The Union will be back in action on Saturday, as they host the Montreal Impact in a crucial game at PPL Park.
