The Union got on the board in the 35th minute when Jack McInerney placed the ball around a defender to Vincent Nogueira in space. Nogueira would blast one past the keeper on the breakaway to give the Union a 1-0 lead with his first MLS goal.
Marco Di Vaio would find the back of the net for the Impact just four minutes later however, tying the game and stealing points from the Union’s grasp in the process.
Philadelphia (1-1-2, 5 points) will next be in action on April 5 when they visit Chicago.
