
Seton Hall jumped out to a 10-4 lead on a three-pointer by Fuquan Edwin with 14:49 remaining in the first half, and the Pirates would maintain their lead through much of half. Villanova tied the game at 25 on a Daniel Ochefu dunk, as the Wildcats closed the half on a 13-1 run to take a 34-26 lead to the break.
The Wildcats would maintain control in the second half, as they began to distance themselves from the Pirates on their way to a 70-53 win, Villanova’s 21st of the season.
Bell led all scorers in the game with 20 points, while the Wildcats received outstanding play from their big men as well, with Pinkston scoring 19 and Daniel Ochefu adding 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Villanova (21-2, 9-1 Big East) will be back in action on Wednesday when they visit DePaul (10-14, 2-9 Big East).
