The annual postseason college football game played in Bismark, North Dakota will for the next four years be known as the Broad Street Beat Bismarck Bowl as part of a sponsorship deal signed between Broad Street Beat sports blog and ESPN events.
The arrangement marks one of the most high-profile marketing initiatives yet for a low-level Philadelphia sports website and comes as the sometimes illiterate writing styles of Dan Goggin, Matt Ryan, Kyle Babcock and founder Ben Lebo continue to gradually make inroads into mainstream media.

In an announcement Wednesday, Broad Street Beat and ESPN Events, a subsidiary of sports network ESPN, said the name change would take effect at this year's Dec. 26 game and would continue each year through the 2017 game.
The game will not air on ESPN, nor any major networks, but KBMY 17 Bismarck may remain a possibility . Tickets, which start at $2 each, and associated merchandise will also be available for purchase with U.S. currency and BSB dollars.
The Bismarck game, which previously bore the name of the Tordo's brand of flavored chip dusts, is in its first year of a new college football affiliation with Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference, each of which will field a team for this year's event, the last place finisher of the C-USA meeting the 3rd to last place finisher of the MAC.
The Bismarck Bowl looks to be one of the stronger bowl games of the 57 that currently exist and provides a major tourism boost for the Bismarck metropolitan area, as if they needed it.
