"The Plague"
With this topic fresh on my mind after sitting next to this type of mass transit rider today, we'll talk about The Plague.
Yes, The Plague, outside of medieval Europe, the only place that sees a worse case of the plague is the mass transit system. You've seen this person. They're the person who literally looks terrible. They have absolutely no right even going to work that day, but this champion soldiers on and infects everyone else in the process.

The Plague is constantly coughing, sneezing and sniffling, to the point you want to just smack your head against a wall. You find yourself disliking them because you have the distinct feeling that in approximately 48 hours you'll look just like them after they've infected you and everyone else ok the train. The only thing worse than sitting next to The Plague on the train is getting stuck next to their evil twin, The Plague who doesn't cover their mouth when coughing and sneezing.
After sitting next to a fellow passenger this morning who didn't stop coughing for more than two seconds at a time between Collingswood and 16th and Locust, I warn you that this may be one of the last PATCO Ponderings, I as may now fall victim to this disease. To all you passengers out there who fall under the category of The Plague, do us all a favor and call out of work today. No one needs you getting them sick. Got it? Thanks.
