Chase Utley continued to look solid Sunday in a small sample size so far this spring, hitting two home runs (video below) and walking once in the Phillies’ 4-4 tie with the Detroit Tigers.

Utley would get the day started on a strong note for the Phillies, cracking a two-run home run to right in the bottom of the first to put the Phillies ahead 2-0.

As Spring Training continues to get into full swing, the Phillies have made some roster moves and have some injury updates out of camp, so let's take a look.

The biggest news out of camp came earlier this week when the Phillies placed veteran left-hander Cliff Lee on the 60-day disable. The move follows a second failed attempt at rehabbing from a torn common flexor tendon in his left elbow.

Non-roster invitee Kevin Slowey is off to a solid start for the Phillies in Spring Training.

The 30-year-old Slowey, who came to Phillies’ camp on a minor league deal, tossed three perfect innings on Sunday in his second start of the spring to help the Phillies pick up a 5-4 win over the Rays.

It was the Phillies’ second win in the first week of Grapefruit League play – both of which have been credited to Slowey – as they improved to 2-3-1.

The Phillies announced on Sunday that their ace, and subject of many trade rumors, had an MRI on Saturday, which revealed some swelling.

Lee had been limited to just 13 starts in 2014 due to a strain in the same elbow. The former Cy Young winner had made just one appearance so far in Spring Training, pitching two innings.

On Thursday, Cliff Lee made his first appearance since July 31 of last year, when he was sidelined with a left a left elbow strain for the remainder of the season. The veteran lefty looked solid in his first spring outing, allowing just two hits and no walks across two scoreless innings of work.

The Phillies would struggle upon Lee's departure, however, as Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez allowed a run in the third and fourth innings. The Astros would maintain control from there, picking up a 6-3 win over the Phillies.

After losing to Division II University of Tampa in their first game of the spring, there was nowhere for the Phillies to go but up, right?

While few familiar names were seen in the Phillies' loss on Sunday, it was a bit different Tuesday afternoon at Bright House Field in their Grapefruit League opener.

Ryan Howard would look sharp for the Phillies in their matchup with the Yankees, going 2-for-2 with an RBI, as the two teams tied 5-5.
