In a battle of former Cy Young winners, Cliff Lee outpitched R.A. Dickey, but the Blue Jays outplayed the Phillies (now 1-6) to win 5-3 at Bright House Field. Cliff Lee gave up one run in 3 innings, while the Phillies put 3 up against Dickey in his 4 innings of work.
Adam Lind and Dan Johnson homered for Toronto, neither off Lee though. They were off pitches from B.J. Rosenberg and Cesar Jimenez.

Lee looked sharp today and in command of all his pitches. He threw a perfect first inning and now has not walked a batter through 5 innings of spring baseball.
The lone Phillies home run was hit off Dickey in the 3rd inning by Marlon Byrd, who went 2 for 3 on the day and is now hitting .385 through five spring training games.
Note: 3B Cody Asche sat for the second straight game, though he did take batting practice with the team. Asche is recovering from being hit in the right hand by a pitch on Sunday. He will likely return to the line up tomorrow against the Atlanta Braves. Game is at 1:05 pm.
