Bowa is Back

10/8/2013

The coaching turnover in the city of Philadelphia continues. One day after the Flyers fired Lavy, the Phillies announced the return of former player and manager Larry Bowa as Ryne Sandberg's bench coach for 2014.
Bowa returns to the field after playing the role of analyst for a few years. Bowa managed the Phillies from 2001-2004. The fiery 67-year old now returns as the Phillies look to regain the edge that once made them World Champions.

Former bench coach Pete Mackanin will also return, this time in the role of third-base coach.

And hey, at least if bringing Bowa back as bench coach doesn't work out we'll probably still see a few hysterical ejections.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
