Cole Hamels is probably used to receiving no run support by now.
The Phillies offense has left Hamels hanging quite a few times over the years. Wednesday night would be no different, though the Phillies did emerge victorious.
While Hamels didn't pick up the win in the outing, he kept the Phillies in a scoreless game for eight innings, before Reid Brignac hit a walk-off home run in the ninth to propel the Phillies to a 3-0 win.

Hamels was dominant on Wednesday night, tossing eight shutout innings, allowing just five hits and striking out 11 batters.
With the game knotted at zero, the Phillies would call on Jonathan Papelbon for the ninth. Papelbon would pitch a perfect frame, setting him up to pick up the win if the Phillies could just manage a run.
Enter Reid Brignac.
After Domonic Brown drew a walk and Carlos Ruiz was hit by a pitch, Brignac stepped to the plate with one out in the ninth.
Brignac would drive the 2-0 pitch to right field for a three-run home run, as he collected his second walk-off hit of the season in the Phillies' 3-0 win.
