A.J. Burnett walked the first batter he faced, setting the tone for the entire game. Ryan Kalish would follow that walk with an RBI triple, as the Cubs piled on four runs in the bottom of the first.

Burnett would continue to struggle throughout the day, as the Cubs scored four unearned runs in the sixth, knocking Burnett out of the game on their way to an 8-3 victory.

Burnett would finish the day having pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs, four earned, on five hits and six walks.

After being put in an early hole, the offense would find itself unable to ever get anything going. The Phillies would finally get on the board in the fifth, on an RBI groundout by Chase Utley.

The call would be challenged by the Phillies, their first challenge of the season, but would be upheld.

The Phillies would score two more in the top of the ninth, as Jimmy Rollins grounded out to knock in a run before Ben Revere scored on a wild pitch, but this game had been all but over since the first.

Domonic Brown would finish the day 2-for-4, as the left fielder increased his batting average to .381 on the young season.

The Phillies will be back in action on Tuesday, when they welcome the Brewers to Citizens Bank Park for the Home Opener. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, but has been postponed due to a forecast calling for rain all day.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
