Cole Hamels tossed eight scoreless innings in a stellar outing Tuesday night and was backed by more than enough offense, as the Phillies cruised past the Mets 6-0.
The Phillies may still be 13 games under .500, but Hamels was able to move his own record above .500, as the veteran lefty has won his last four decisions to move to 6-5 on the season.

Hamels received more than enough support on Tuesday night, as the Phillies took the lead in the third inning on a solo home run by Jimmy Rollins.
Grady Sizemore would homer in the fourth to extend the Phillies' lead to 2-0 before Chase Utley cracked a seventh inning grand slam to push the lead to 6-0 in the win.
Hamels' name has come up plenty in trade rumors in recent weeks. While the 2008 World Series MVP has plenty of value and could bring a big haul in return, the trade deadline is rapidly approaching and the Phillies don't seem to be trying to move Hamels.
