Cole Hamels' string of dominant starts came to an end Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. Luckily for Hamels, this just happened to be one of the few times the Phillies would provide him with some adequate run support.
Despite being knocked out of the game after five innings, Hamels was able to pick up his seventh win of the season, as he moved above .500 in the Phillies' 4-3 win over the Mariners.

The Mariners were the first to strike, taking a 1-0 lead on a home run by Kendrys Morales to lead off the second inning.
The Phillies would tie things up in the bottom of the third, but the Mariners would respond with two more runs in the top of the fourth to regain the lead.
A little bit of luck would bail the Phillies out in the bottom of the fourth, as Andres Blanco reached on an error and Wil Nieves scored on a passed ball soon after to pull the Phillies within one.
The Phillies would get two more runs in the frame to take the lead, and the bullpen would follow up Hamels' short outing with four shutout innings, as the Phillies topped the Mariners 4-3.
