Entering Sunday, it had been four games since the Phillies recorded their last extra-base hit. Jimmy Rollins would put that to an end quickly, as the shortstop hit a solo home run to right field with one out in the first.

From there, the Phillies and Rockies would trade the lead several times. In the end it would be an RBI groundout by Chase Utley in the eighth that would prove to be the difference maker, as the Phillies avoided being swept with a 10-9 win.

The first inning homer by Rollins would give Roberto Hernandez a lead to work with coming out of the gate. It would be short-lived however, as Justin Morneau tied the game at one in the bottom half of the frame.

The Phillies would regain the lead on a two-run home run by Ryan Howard in the third, but the Rockies would again respond in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs to take a 4-3 lead.

Roberto Hernandez would pitch to three batters in the fifth, recording no outs before being removed, as he finished with four innings pitched and six runs allowed.

Trailing 6-3 entering the sixth the Phillies would seem poised to continue their losing streak. The offense would keep chugging along however, scoring two runs in the sixth to pull within one.

After Chase Utley tied the game on a sacrifice fly in the seventh, Ryan Howard singled home the go-ahead run. Howard made it to second on the hit, but it was ruled a single and an error by the official scorer, keeping the slugger from completing the cycle on the afternoon.

The Phillies would plate one more run in the inning to take an 8-6 lead through six and a half innings.

Yet again, the Rockies would respond, as Morneau cracked a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at eight.

Rollins would single home to go-ahead run in the eighth and Utley would knock in an insurance run, one that would prove necessary in the end, as the Phillies prevailed, 10-9.

The Phillies will now travel to Los Angeles, where they kick off a series with the Dodgers Monday night. Cliff Lee will make the start, as he faces Paul Maholm.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
