Offense Dismal in Phillies' Loss to Reds

I guess if you're going to be bad, you should at least be the best at being bad that you can be, right?

By that logic, the Phillies are doing a fantastic job, at being bad.

After another poor offensive display on Sunday afternoon, in which they fell to the Reds 4-1, the Phillies now sit at 25-36, good enough for the worst record in the National League.

The Phillies grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third when Ben Revere scored on a sacrifice fly by Chase Utley.

It would be the only run of the day for the Phillies, as the wheels soon came off.

The Reds piled on four runs in the fifth to take the lead, as starting pitcher Homer Bailey hit a two-run single to center and Billy Hamilton followed with a two-run home run.

Up until that point, Phillies starter David Buchanan had been cruising. But with no offense to get him back in the game, Buchanan would collect his first big league loss.

The Phillies, and their fans, have a much needed off day on Monday.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
