The Phillies entered Citizens Bank Park Sunday afternoon looking to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Giants before hitting the road for eight straight games.

After trading runs with San Francisco early, the Phillies would do just that, taking the lead for good on a two-out, two-run double by Jeff Francoeur in the seventh on the their way to a 6-4 victory over the Giants.
The Giants would strike first Sunday afternoon, plating a run in the top of the second, but the Phillies would respond with two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame on a single by Cody Asche.

San Francisco would take that lead right back, scoring two in the top of the third to take a 3-2 advantage. But the Phillies would answer yet again in the bottom of the third inning, knotting the game at 3-3 on a home run by Odubel Herrera.

Both offenses would hit a scoring lull for the next three innings before the Phillies would break the tie in the bottom of the seventh. Just a day after hitting the second grand slam of his career in a Phillies' loss, Francoeur would come up big for the Phillies as a pinch hitter, smacking a two-run double to left to the give the Phillies a 5-3 lead.

Maikel Franco would add an insurance run in the eighth on his sixth home run of the year, and Ken Giles would pick up the win in relief, as the Phillies topped the Giants 6-4 in the series finale.

NOTES: Sean O'Sullivan lasted six innings, allowing three runs in a no decision in Sunday's start.

Up Next: The Phillies now head to Cincinnati, where they will kick off a three-game series with the Reds on Monday night. The Phillies took a three-games series at home against the Reds 2-1 last week.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
