The Phillies put up three runs in the bottom of the fifth, including a two-run home run by Jimmy Rollins, as they regained the lead.
The Giants would pull within one in the seventh inning before knotting the game at 5-5 in the ninth and giving Jonathan Papelbon his third blown save of the season.
After that, the Phillies would be unable to find much offense in extra innings, as they fell to the Giants 9-6 in 14 innings.
