The Phillies and Mets needed extra innings yet again to decide which team was worse on Sunday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.
For the second straight day, the Mets would emerge victorious in extra innings, topping the Phillies 4-3 in 11 innings to increase the total number of innings played by the two teams to 39 in three days.

The Mets would score first, as David Wright doubled to kick off the fourth inning and came around to score two batters later.
The Phillies would respond immediately, however, with Ryan Howard cracking his 11th home run of the season in the bottom of the frame, a two-run shot to put the Phillies up 2-1.
A sac fly from Curtis Granderson in the sixth would knot the game at 2-2.
The Phillies would have a chance in the seventh, as Cesar Hernandez bunted his way aboard to kick off the inning before advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Reid Brignac.
Domonic Brown would then single, but Hernandez would stop at third and Brown would try to stretch the single and be gunned down at second base for a crucial second out.
The game would go to extras, where Lucas Duda would smack a two-run home run off recent call up Phillippe Aumont to give the Mets a 4-2 lead.
Marlon Byrd would hit his eighth home run of the season with one out in the bottom of the 11th to pull the Phillies within one, but they would be unable to muster any more runs in the frame, falling 4-3 in the end.
The Phillies will close their series with the Mets on Monday, as Roberto Hernandez takes the mound.
