The Phillies collected just five hits on the afternoon as they fell to the Yankees and their trio of starting pitchers, 4-0.

David Buchanan made the start for the Phillies, tossing two perfect innings while recording three strikeouts.

Next up was everyone's first real look at Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, who was quite underwhelming in his outing, lasting one and two-thirds innings while surrendering one run and walking four batters.

The offense did nothing worth talking about. I'll leave it at that.

More importantly, the Phillies got the verdict on Ethan Martin, who was removed from a game earlier in the week after suffering shoulder issues.

Martin was diagnosed with triceps and shoulder capsule strains, and will be shut down for three weeks as a result.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
