Since then, Biddle has had a bit of an up-and-down career in the minors, finally reaching Triple-A in 2015, where he struggled to the tune of a 2-4 record with a 6.25 ERA in nine starts.
Biddle missed time in 2014 after being hit by a hail stone and suffering a concussion as a result. He was cleared to pitch again just more than a week after the incident, but still didn't feel well when he tried to pitch.
The lefty struggled immensely in his starts following the incident and eventually was placed on the inactive list to give himself a mental break. Biddle rested for a month before he returned to action but was soon sidelined again, this time by a strained muscle.
Biddle would go to the Puerto Rican Winter League to make up for lost time, but would go 0-1 with a 15.19 ERA in two starts.
Biddle would get back on track a bit at the beginning of 2015, going 7-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 15 starts with Double-A Reading before earning his first shot at Triple-A ball in July. From that high would come another low for Biddle, however, as he compiled a 2-4 record with a 6.25 ERA in nine starts with the Iron Pigs and is now set for Tommy John surgery.
After six seasons in the minors, Biddle faces yet another crossroads, as the Phillies are left wondering once again if their hometown pick from 2010 will ever reach the potential they saw in him when they took him in the first round.
