The Phillies spent their first and second round picks on a pair of college arms in Thursday night's MLB Draft.

With the seventh overall pick, the Phillies selected Aaron Nola, a right-hander out of LSU. Nola is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and has a fastball that sits in the 92-94 mph range. Nola apparently has pretty good command of all his pitches.

In the second round, the Phillies selected left-hander Matt Imhof out of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo with the 47th overall pick. Imhof is 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and compiled a 10-4 record with a 2.45 ERA this season in college.

For who? My teammates. For what? To win.
