Kevin Frandsen scored the go-ahead run in the seventh on a fielder’s choice by Tony Gwynn Jr., but the aforementioned error by Lincoln in the ninth would allow the Braves to tie the game.
More important than the game played today, was the pregame ceremony, as both teams honored the late Jim Fregosi, who passed away on February 14 at the age of 71.
Representatives from the various teams Fregosi was associated with through the years were in attendance to honor his memory, including Darren Daulton from the 1993 Phillies team that Fregosi took to the World Series.
