Aaron Nola, who the Phillies selected number 7 overall in this year’s MLB Draft, has been promoted to Double-A Reading.
The right-hander out of LSU will make his first start with the Fightins on Wednesday at home against the Harrisburg Senators.

Nola’s pro career is off to a solid start, as the righty has compiled a 2-3 record and a 3.16 ERA with Clearwater since signing. The Phillies have monitored Nola’s workload closely, however, and will continue to do so after he threw more than 100 innings with LSU this season.
