Chase Utley continued to look solid Sunday in a small sample size so far this spring, hitting two home runs (video below) and walking once in the Phillies’ 4-4 tie with the Detroit Tigers.
Utley would get the day started on a strong note for the Phillies, cracking a two-run home run to right in the bottom of the first to put the Phillies ahead 2-0.

Starter Aaron Harang would look solid early for the Phillies as well, tossing three hitless innings before the Tigers finally got to him.
Harang would have his no-hitter broken up by the first batter in the fourth inning, as Tyler Collins took Harang’s fourth pitch of the inning out of the park. Two batters later, Yoenis Cespedes took Harang deep to left for a two-run shot to give the Tigers 3-2 lead.
Utley would strike again for the Phillies in the bottom of the fourth, however, taking the first pitch deep to right for a game-tying home run.
Harang would be knocked out of the game after 5 1/3 innings when Jefry Marte singled home the go-ahead run for the Tigers in the sixth.
Russ Canzler would tie things up yet again for the Phillies in the bottom of the frame, leading off the inning with a home run, as the Phillies and Tigers played to a 4-4 tie.
