76ERS BEAT BY PACERS DESPITE NOEL'S NEAR TRIPLE-DOUBLE

In their return to action following the All-star break, the Sixers took on the Pacers in the Wells Fargo Center. With Michael Carter-Williams and KJ McDaniels being shipped off at the trade deadline, the team that took the court on Friday felt different.

After falling behind early in the first half, the 76ers would never recover. Final Score: 106-95
For the first time in over 2 years, Jason Richardson stepped on the court for the Sixers. Richardson had been dealing with a long recovery from knee surgery during the 2013 season. To be honest, I often forgot he was still on the roster. J-Rich never was on the same court with MCW.

With an opening at the starting point guard spot, Tim Frazier, who just signed a second 10-day contract, stepped in for another start. Frazier finished with 13 points and 7 assists.

Indiana took control of the game early and held a 58-40 lead at halftime. The Sixers were outscored in every quarter except the 4th but at that point it was too little too late.

Nerlens Noel had a fantastic performance, recording a near-triple-double with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 blocks (5 in the first quarter alone). The 9 rejections set a Wells Fargo Center record for blocks in a game. The rookie also added 4 steals.

Philly shot a lowly 40.5% while Indiana connected on 48% of their shots. The 76ers also struggled from the line missing 10 of their 29 attempts.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Jerami Grant put up 16 points each. Mbah a Moute also added 10 boards. Newly acquired Javale McGee only played 11 minutes but had the highlight of the night with a monster dunk (he really threw the ball through the hoop, not sure if it counts as dunk). This resulted in McGee's only points.

Rodney Stuckey led the Pacers with 30 points in reserve. CJ Miles recorded 17 points and Scola added 16 points off the bench. David West and Roy Hibbert had relatively quiet nights, each scoring 8 points and securing 7 rebounds.

The Sixers will travel to Orlando to play the Magic(18-39) on Sunday.
