The 76ers have played the entire season so far without two of their promising, young big men in Nerlens Noel and Arnett Moultrie. In the midst of a tanking season, Philly is not in a rush to get them back, but its always nice to hear good news about the future of the franchise:
Nerlens Noel (ACL) has been cleared for basketball activities by Dr. James Andrew. The first-round pick has yet to be cleared by the team and is unlikely to be rushed back this season as stated earlier in the season by GM Sam Hinkie. Hinkie said Noel may miss the entire season. Even so, this is a good sign as the slim big man will have time to put on muscle and work on his shot to prepare for his first NBA season.
There were rumors that Arnett Moultire (Ankle) would make his season debut for the Sixers against the Bobcats on Wednesday but this didn't happen. Moultire has been scrimmaging with the team and is cleared to play but Brett Brown wants the young power forward to get some more practice time. The second-year player had ankle surgery after injuring it over the summer but is expected to return sometime in January.
