After losing in New York and dropping to 0-13, the 76ers returned home to take on the streaking Trail Blazers who came in with a 10-3 record. It was a matchup of Portland's top 5 defense vs. Philly's league worst offense in terms of points scored, but the Sixers played much better than expected. However, they would still end up losing their 14th straight game. Final score: 114-104.

The Sixers hosted the Suns on Friday night still looking for their first win. A dreadful second quarter in which hot-shooting Phoenix seized complete control doomed Philadelphia to their 12th straight loss. Final score: 122-96.
The still winless Sixers took on the Celtics at the Wells cargo Center on Wednesday. With Boston entering with a 3 game losing streak, it seemed like a real opportunity for the 76ers to pick up their first win. Unfortunately it would not work out that way. Philadelphia got off to a nice start but as usual were outlasted by their opponent in the second half. The 76ers would lose yet again, 101-90.
After three days off, the 76ers traveled to Dallas to challenge Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks. Well, it wasn't much a challenge. For the second straight game, the Sixers were blown out in embarrassing fashion. Even the return of Michael Carter-Williams could not make this performance watchable as Philly lost 70-123 to drop to 0-8.
The 76ers took on the Magic at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday in a battle of the bottom feeders. Both teams came into the game with an 0-4 record, but someone had to pick up a win in this one. It came down to the final seconds but the Sixers were again denied their first win, losing 91-89. In the process Noel exited the game with a sprained left ankle. Not a good night for the Sixers.
The 76ers hosted the Rockets on Monday night in their second home game of season. It was matchup of teams built with two very different objectives in mind. The Sixers are designed to fail, collect assets and build for the future while the Rockets are designed to be a title contender. Houston is built around two top ten players in Dwight Howard and James Harden while most casual NBA fans would struggle to name more than 3 active Sixers.
The 76ers once again showed they could be competitive for 3 quarters only trailing 79-74 entering the 4th. But Houston's 4th quarter experience and dominance of the glass denied Philadelphia (0-4) their first win. Final Score: Sixers 93, Rockets 104. The Sixers took on the Miami Heat in their 2014-15 home opener. Unlike last year's home opener when Michael Carter-Williams and company surprised the entire league by defeating the then reigning NBA Champion Heat, this year's Sixers could not pull an upset. A turnover plagued performance led Philadelphia to their third straight loss, 114-96.
The Sixers (0-1) traveled to Milwaukee (0-1) for a Friday battle between the two worst teams in the NBA last year. This would also serve as a matchup between two rookie of the year candidates in Nerlens Noel and Jabari Parker. While it was a sloppy but evenly-matched game for the first three quarter, Philadelphia' poor 4th quarter performance earned them a 12 point loss to the Bucks.
