‘Tis the season for Jahlil Okafor Stories.
Big Jah just can’t seem to stay out of trouble off the court of late. After apparently having a gun pointed at him during an altercation at a Philadelphia night club in October and then punching a man outside a Boston night club on Thanksgiving eve (video below), reports are now surfacing from The Philadelphia Inquirer that Okafor was pulled over a few weeks back for going 108 mph on the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Putting the fact that it is dumb as hell to drive that fast anywhere other than a professional race track, how the hell can someone even reach those speeds on the Ben Franklin? Most of us struggle just to hit the speed limit on a bridge seemingly always riddled with traffic and construction.
Despite averaging an impressive 18 points and 7.9 rebounds per game so far in his rookie season, the 19-year-old Okafor seems to have a bit of trouble maintaining his focus off the court.
I guess when you play for the 0-17 Sixers, you probably are looking for any sort of distraction though. Regardless, the Sixers may want to rein in their young center if they don’t want this rebuild to last any longer than it is on pace to.
