The Sixers continued their road trip in Utah on Saturday night. It was not a pretty game for either team, but Philadelphia's offense especially struggled. The 76ers managed only 71 points on 32% shooting in a loss to the Jazz.
The Jazz limited the Sixers to 32 first half points, only hitting 12 of 40 shots. The 76ers entered the break with a 12 point deficit but would make a dent in the 3rd quarter. The Jazz only managed 15 3rd quarter points as the Sixers pulled within 4. Philly would be outscored 29-16 in the final quarter, sealing their 25th loss of the season.
Carter-Williams was off his game, connecting only 2 of his 20 shot attempts. He finished with 8 points and 6 assists but also turned the ball over 6 times. Wroten led the Sixers in scoring for the second straight game, scoring 20 points off the bench. Noel was secured 10 rebounds but was held to 5 points. Robert Covington added 17 points and 9 rebounds.
Philly struggled from long range, hitting only 5 of 26 trys from three, as well as from the foul line (64%).
Utah only shot 36% from the floor but won the battle on the boards and had 10 blocks as a team. Derrick Favors led the Jazz with 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Trey Burke also chipped in 17 points while Gordon Hayward added 15 points and 5 rebounds.
The Sixers will challenge the Warriors (24-5) in Oakland on Tuesday. They will need a much more effective offense if they hope to hang with Golden State.
