The 76ers announced their invitees to their mini-camp with a chance to make their Orlando Summer League roster. The roster is headed by Nerlens Noel, the 6th overall pick in 2013's draft, and also includes Hollis Thompson, Jerami Grant, one of the Sixers' 2014 2nd round picks, and a handful of undrafted rookies. The Orlando Pro Summer League will take place from July 5-11.
In other news, Philadelphia waived James Anderson yesterday, before his contract became fully guaranteed on July 1st.

Summer League will provide Philly fans with their first glimpse of a healthy Noel who sat out all of the 2013-14 season recovering from an ACL tear. Noel was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year in his only season with Kentucky. Noel averaged 10.5 points, 9.5 boards, and 4.4 blocks in 24 games.
Joining Noel will be G/F Hollis Thompson and G Casper Ware who both played for the Sixers last season. Thompson started 41 games for Philly and shot 40% from downtown but was not very productive only averaging 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in his rookie season. Ware was a late season signing and played in only 9 games, averaging 5.3 points and 1.1 assists in 13 minutes.
None of the other invitees have NBA experience. Among these rookie are Pierre Jackson, who the Sixers had traded away in 2013 draft and reacquired from New Orleans during this year's draft. The 5'10'' point guard spent some time in the D-league last season, being named to the D-League All-Star game and set a Developmental League record by scoring 58 points in a single game with the Idaho Stampede. Also, invited is undrafted rookie PG Aaron Craft out of Ohio State. Craft averaged 9.8 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.5 steals in his Senior season. The Sixers also invited Saint Joseph's Ronald Roberts Jr. The athletic forward shot 60% and averaged 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds this past season with the Hawks.
The 76ers kick off Summer League play on July 5th against Orlando.
By waiving James Anderson, the Sixers will avoid a $1MM cap hit as his contract would have become fully guaranteed on the first of July. Anderson started 62 games with Philadelphia this past season but was obviously not a part of the Sixers' plans moving forward. The 25 year-old wing averaged 10.1 points but shot only 43% on the year.
