Three games remain. That will be it for the Union's season unless they can finish out strong, as they currently sit in the fifth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, just two points ahead of Chicago. The Union will look to solidify their playoff hopes as they head to conference cellar-dweller D.C. United tonight.
The Union enter the contest coming off a big win against Toronto last weekend, their second victory in a row. The Union will be without key defenders Fabinho following a red card and Sheanon Williams who has accumulated too many yellows. With key members missing, the playing field looks to have been slightly evened between the Union and a struggling United squad.
The Union will likely have to shuffle some players out of their normal positions to attempt to fill some gaps. The defense will hopefully bend but not break, as three crucial points are on the line for the Union and their playoff hopes.
With just three games remaining, a win at RFK Stadium would go a long way, as the Union will close their season out with matches against tough squads in Montreal and against Sporting Kansas City.
